History: Isabella (Bella) presented to the clinic with blood in her urine, increased thirst and increased urination. Bella had started to urinate in odd places and was only producing small amounts of urine, yet was constantly squatting to try and urinate. Bella’s owners mentioned she had a history of urinary tract infections which had been treated with antibiotics at another veterinary surgery whilst they were away on holidays.

History: Oscar’s owners were away on holidays. When they arrived home, they discovered him panting and unsteady on his feet. His owners called the clinic and they were instructed to bring him in immediately.

Name: Black Tail
Species: Avian – Chicken
Sex: Female
Weight: 2.14kg
History: A lovely chicken by the name of Black Tail was brought into Wilston Vet Surgery after sustaining a nasty dog bite to the backside. Unfortunately a neighbour-hood dog had escaped from its yard and made its way to Black Tail’s house and attacked her and five other coop mates. Luckily for the others, they only had minor injuries.

History:
Grover presented to Wilston Vet Surgery as he had been vomiting up water, anorexic (not eating)
and lethargic. This had only started overnight. His owners also noticed he was walking in a hunched up position as though he had stomach pain.

History:
One Thursday night in July, Talulah’s owner Kirsty came home from work to find Talulah curled up on the couch. This
was a normal occurance for Talulah, however, when she said “Hello” to Kirsty, something didn’t seem right. Talulah’s “meow” was different and she seemed very unhappy. On a closer look Kirsty could see Talulah’s legs were bruised, wounded and very swollen. Kirsty immediately called Wilston Vet to say Talulah had possibly been hit by a car. Kirsty rushed straight down to see us.

History:
On the 8th June 2010, Sammie was brought into Wilston Vet for a yearly vaccination and heartworm injection. Before any of these injections were given, a full physical examination was performed by the veterinarian.

Name- Stephen
Species- Jungle Python
Sex – Male
Age- 3 YO
History: Stephen was presented to Wilston Vet surgery as his owner had noticed that there was a strange clicking sound coming from Stephen’s stomach. His owner also mentioned that he had always been a noisy breather. He was eating normally and appeared to be bright and alert ( as far as snakes go) but his owner thought he may be in some pain around his mid abdomen.

History: Bella presented to Wilston Vet because her owner was concerned she had blood in her urine. Bella had no history of environmental change or stress which can be contributing factors to this. She was eating and passing motions normally.

Name- Hendrix
Breed- Domestic Short Hair
Age- 6 Months
Weight- 2 kg
History: Hendrix was brought in one Saturday morning as his owner was concerned that he was quiet and not his normal affectionate self. Poor little Hendrix was found lying under the BBQ not wanting to move. The owner found his cat collar next to one of their dog’s food bowls and suspected that their dog may have attacked Hendrix. (Mind you, their dog is a Great Dane so that was very worrying as Hendrix is so little)

History: Ferris is a 5 months old male Maltese Poodle cross who came to us one afternoon unable to walk on his right back leg. The owner reported that just a few minutes ago Ferris had been so excited by some visitors coming to the house that he had jumped up and down on the spot. On landing he let out a loud yelp and was in considerable pain after and unable to walk on his right hind leg.
